Got the Yali in
EDIT: Had to reject it due to substitutions. Do Tesco ever deliver what you actually want?
There is a 'no substitutions' button to press in 'basket' - when I use that I find they tend to miraculously find your product - perhaps your order gets prioritised? - and failing that they sometimes ring you first to see if you still want the order if it's now very small. If you say no substitutions and they still deliver a silly small order, get your service charge refunded by speaking nicely to CS.0 -
Ker-ching!
Another 2000 points :beer::D:beer:0 -
I think I might be guilty of overlooking Leffe in my quest for Yali!
Yali is better on points for me because I buy the wine anyway, can justify giving it a value of £3.50 so for effectively £1.49 less the 6 wine discount I get 150 points.
Now, I do occasionally buy Weisse beers and Leffe @ £2.50-£3 but I can't honestly give it a value of more than £1.35 a bottle (75cl) because I usually would get close to £1 a litre @ 4-5% alc/vol for my usual beer buys - luckily Leffe is 6.5% so I can add on that extra 35p. :cool:
No problem if you triple your points on Clubcard deals because @ £2.78 = 104 points the beer is effectively FOC.
But I use mine for Airmiles flights. Let's do the maths.
We have a flight for 3750 points:
3750/104 = 36 bottles needed.
36 x £2.78 = £100 for the flight - I normally pay £85 so not worth it for me.
BUT
£100 minus (36 x £1.35 = £48.60 - the value I give the beer) = £51.40
Looks much better, now that flight is costing me £51.40.
Not as good as the Yali, but good nonetheless :T:T:T
Particularly useful round here as Yali disappears off shelf too quickly whereas there's plenty of Leffe, so you can help justify your petrol cost by adding a few Leffes to the basket.0 -
Just ordered a load more and found a £10 off code sitting in the account that I'd forgotten about

In store for Yali Sauv Blanc - it's £2 a bottle cheaper than Wine Club0 -
The Llai Llai is £45.54 a case for 1200 extra points = 1290 points total.
Factor in £5 delivery.
Flight = 3750 points
3750/1290 = 2.9
2.9 x £45.54 + £5 delivery = £137
Less value of wine to me @ £3.50/bottle
16.5 bottles x £3.50 = £57.75
£137 - £57.75 = £79.25 a flight real cost - not much different to what I pay.
You're better off with the in store Yali & Leffe :beer::beer::beer:0 -

Sorry i don't quite get that...:( (i am easily confused)
We've got a £10 off code so that covers the postage and an extra £5 off if we got two cases.
It's £45.54 a case with 1200 extra points which when converted would be effectively £36 so £9.54 a case each as it were...
I can't quite understand the 2.9 x £45.54???
What's does the in store deal bring it down too, i can't quite work it out as some of the posts on here seem to contradict the other one...0
