I think we have our first promising deal starting today:
Piccini Supertuscan 75Cl £5.99
200 EXTRA CLUBCARD BOOSTER POINTS valid from 22/6/2011 until 19/7/2011
Hoegaarden Rosee 75Cl £2.77
100 EXTRA CLUBCARD BOOSTER POINTS valid from 22/6/2011 until 19/7/2011
Right - DTD wines excluded - I am loth to pay more than £4 for a bottle of wine - but OTOH I do like the sound of this red:
INTERNATIONAL WINE & SPIRIT COMPETITION QUALITY AWARD.
IWSC SILVER 2010 Best in Class.
From the Piccini family's Special Collection, a Supertuscan wine from Italy.
Supertuscan denotes a premium Tuscan wine which uses innovative blends to create a modern expression of this classic Italian region. Marked by aromas of bright cherry, red fruit and black plum which are echoed on the palate with flavours of blackberry and dried herb. The wine is rich, full bodied and velvety with well integrated tannins and a long spicy finish.
So I'll be paying £1.99 extra to get the 200 points.
I need 3750 points for a single flight = 19 bottles.
19 x £1.99 means I'll be getting my flight for under £38.

5% discount for 6 bottles I think ......0 -
I saw a couple of poor reviews of the wine, so I would recommend doing a reccie instore and getting a bottle to taste. If it's passable then load up the wine cellar - or bottom of the wardrobe, in my case :beer:Elite 5:2 #54 12/13 lbs (18 Jan) 1st Target :j0

Good point - £37.81 extra to get that air ticket...
...but...
...5% discount on 38 bottles (I'll buy in 6s) @ £5.99 = £11.38...
...so the effective price of my air ticket is £26.43

Your first thanks, too!
Yep, showing at £8.99 on the website now. Darn! Might still be £5.99 instore today? :mad:Elite 5:2 #54 12/13 lbs (18 Jan) 1st Target :j0 -
Phew! I am a lucky blighter - last night when I saw the wine offer I added 12 to my basket on tesco.com as a dummy order. Although now showing at £8.99 I just checked and they were still in my basket at £5.99  Ordered and on the way - let's home they have stock
Definitely worth checking in store for this TODAY if you get a chance before they update SELs tomorrowElite 5:2 #54 12/13 lbs (18 Jan) 1st Target :j0 -
I've noticed a website supermarketspecialoffers.com which has the Mr. T. points offers listed. HTH.0

Someone on PTS has had their order this morning and been charged
£8. 99 per bottle so you might wnat to ring and complain, email someone and compalin and/or refuse the order“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
This seems to be the watchdog page if anyone feels like having a moan about the wine price jumping £3 overnight, people doing their orders for today and finding a massive increase in their bills.

Anyway the money I would have spent in Tesco buying wine I will now be spending with Ocado when the code comes though“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
