got one very early this a.m. Getting confused bout all freeview boxes etc. Have sky+ and kids can watch what is on downstairs in bedrooms, I have seperate box allowing to change sky channel in my room. What difference does freeview box make?

Just a SCART actually. Virtually no STB's come with UHF modulators to allow you to see the freeview channels via the aerial lead.
They do have aerial loop-thru for the STB to allow the received analogue signal to pass in to the TV, but it won't modulate the freeview channels on it.
    blu-tac

Mine does, but it is an older Pace on Digital box...

Just gives you extra free channels through an arieal, analouge tv transmission will be shut off in a few years which will mean any tv which is analouge will not receive a signal as all transmitters will be turned over to transmit digital only....not a problem if you have a freeview box or Sky :)

  • The Mrs and I got one last night to replace our old portable in the bedroom.
I watched the ashes cricket this morning - didn't make it look any better.

And the picture quality will be worse (composite). And the sound will be in mono.

Amazes me the neg comments by people who obviously have not seen or heard the TV. For £100 this is an excellent value LCD for kitchen or bedroom. Good picture AND Nicam stereo

    Well chuffed with mine

Good value, but the prices can only go one way
    down.
It`s the must-have novelty value at the moment with LCD.
They may take up less space but you still get the same old tripe on the telly.
  • Following on from my other post in which i said we had already bought the 20inch model, we have now also bought this 15inch it is great for the kitchen/bedroom we are pleased with it, we had previously bought the cello model that was rubbish and we took it back. like someone else said what do you want for £99?
  • I work for ASDA and today we had that 15" LCD TV for £99 !!

Maybe you should have had more than 1 in stock ;)
  • ...and I'm gonna say it again. "What do you want for £99?" It's great value for a small telly. Its modern, space saving design compared to a CRT pays for itself in my opinion. "Wot!..No Freeview? 4:3?! Wot!..Not Widescreen? but.. but.. but it's £99 !!!" ...You really can't please some people (shakes head)
