Hi all,
After a year or so using a Moto V3 I have just purchased an SE W850I on Virgin PAYG I am very happy with the phone and am in the process of setting it up for me.
Just one question. On the V3 you could lock individual applications such as the Web browser with a code. Is there any way of doing this on the SE W850 as I am paranoid that I will keep starting the application as the browser button is on the front of the phone and sometimes the keylock dosent operate reliably.
Many thanks in advance

I don't think you can. If you know you won't need to use mobile internet (wap/3g), or you can get the settings easily, delete the mobile internet settings.0

I'll give that a try, from memory I've only used mobile wap once in two years.0

Rather than delete them, on my K750i (and I imagine the W850i is similar) I just set the internet profile to some other network - that I way I can restore them very quickly and easily should I need to.Stompa0 -

Sensible of you, I got my last bill yesterday and had been charged £15 for mobile internet access!
Admittedly most of that wasn't due to accidently hitting the 'wap' button...0 -

you could set the wap button to go to the write new sms screen
this was written for the k700i but it may not work on the w850i, i cant guarantee it will work on the w850ian_esato_forum_member wrote:Some of us might find the online button useless or rarely use it due to costly GPRS charges. Good new, now we can customize the button to something else, eg. SMS or call someone. Here the steps to customize it.
- Main Menu > Internet Services > More > Bookmark
- Create new bookmarks
- Title: SMS
- Address: SMS:
- Save it and then set the bookmarks as "Set Bookmarks as Homepage"
Done! Now try to press the online button and it should bring you to "Write Message" screen. Its very cool isnt it?0
