    sorry deano if i offended you by not posting on original but i couldnt find it - i did search for it .....................

    it seems that the guy has already refunded the money minus shipping costs and £5 admin - im out of pocket £20 by this fiasco but, he wont admit the printer was faulty - he is the ebay guy so i dont think ill have much joy as others have found.........im going to leave the amount in my bank and try a charge back and let my credit card sort it with amazon.........

    Doesn't the transaction have to have been over £100 for the credit card company to share liability?

    As this is not a disputed transaction (in that you agree the money was taken correctly) I am not sure your credit card company will be of much use but it might be worth a try.

    oh right bossy boots - never done a chargeback before so dont know - thanks..........just realised too - he has refunded to the old debit card which i dont have now so i have to sort that out too - aaaaarghghhghgg - never deal with this man

    i emailed epson and they told me cos i hadnt actually bought it off them and bought it from a third party they couldnt do anything but if i returned it to the person i bought it from they could return it to epson...............

    just wondering now which new printer to buy - want a cheap one which takes cheap refills - any ideas?
