Over the last 30 years I have entered thousands of competitions by phone, online and by post and have never won anything.

    I'm a bit different :-)

Over the last four years I have entered thousands & have won quite a bit.
This includes a week in Vancouver, five days in NY plus theatre tickets & loads more.
    Just keep trying :-)

I can easily enter a thousand a week and have won things through this although not as many as you would expect if I added up exactly how many I have entered compared to how many I have won.
    Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
    Competition wins 2015 = £1400

im pretty new at comping only done the odd one here and there but this year decided to really get into it

no itv win yet but good to know it can be done-well done to those who won
    What goes around-comes around
  • I enter these competitions very rarely but have noticed that in the T's&C's for the Daybreak competition it states "free web entry is open for at least 3 working days," when they show the question on screen.

Does anyone know if this means that for the usual 2 week running time for the competition, only web entries received on 3 randomly generated days are counted?

Do we have to enter every once a day to only get 3 actual entries?

I presume they want someone to win who has entered near the time that the program was screened rather than from a bulk of entries on the end date.Maybe it's better to enter these competitions early ?

    Makes no difference

ITV operates an independently developed winner selector tool under licence from a third party.
This is known as inner Selector’ and is a market leading solution used for managing many
competitions across the UK. The Winner Selector works by taking in all entries to a competition
from each entry route, and assigning a unique random number to every entry. This is done
independently of the original entry method, and assures that each entry has the same chance of
being selected, irrespective of the method of entry.

Ummmm - sorry - apologise in advance

Since I started comping I have had 4 (yes 4) ITV cash wins
None of the huge cash amount though :-(

I only ever enter once for each ITV comp - via the free online entry route

I normally enter a day or 2 before the end dates

    Hope that info helps.
Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!

Hi Jill, I only ever enter online and I only enter one phone number, still can't quite believe it, at least it shows we all have a chance
