VAT on pay monthly on 02

I am on 02 pay montly 24 month contract, 300 mins unlimited texts, 500mb data plus 20 mms costing £26. I have been charged VAT of 5.60 this month, is this right?

    I think this is not right. £26.00=£21.67+£4.33(VAT)

    Thankyou, I thought it was wrong, but Ive only just switched to pay monthly so wasnt sure. Will get on to 02.

    Is this your first bill on a new contract or after a contract? If so the first bill will have pro-rata charges (a few days + the next 30 days) on it. All charges shown on O2 bills are ex-VAT and VAT is added on after that so without seeing the full bill we have no way of knowing it's correct.

    In which case I'm guessing that's your first bill. On your bill click the "My tariffs" and you'll see something along the lines of;
    Some tariff	23 Mar 11 - 17 Apr 11	7.14	
    Some tariff	18 Apr 11 - 17 May 11	8.51	
    (obviously with different dates and values)
    
    Line rental is always the next 30 days, but it takes O2 a day or two to get your account on the billing system up and running so it'll normally be 32 or 33 days on your first bill. There'll also be pro-rata charges for your £6 data bolt-on.
