halifax ppi

I made a complaint to halifax in November 2010 and still awaitng a reponse, although I have missed a special delivery letter today so hoping that may be something!! Does anyone know if halifax send the payment to you via cheque by special delivery??

my claim on ppi on a credit card has just gone over 8 weeks , but i have had a letter giving me a dealine of 16 weeks total to sort it out .
i have already had 2 claims upheld with other companies , which i did tell them , so am keeping my fingers crossed !

I've got a complaint going in the post tomorrow for Halifax CC ppi, wife had it on card from 2003 till 2009, cancelled it as didn't see the point in paying thirty odd quid a month for the cover of a few grand on a credit card. Wife had previous medical conditions and gets sick pay too from work.
