Climbing bean sowing

I've had success previously with Hunter.
I don't know if it's old seeds or the dry weather combined with living 2 miles from the allotment, but I've had very few beans come up yet this year, and I started sowing them a month ago.0 -

For dried beans chuck......the loveliness of the finished bean is well worth it.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

Ahh right, Blue Lake. Yes I think you are going to see this problem then, I find BL far from the best cropper, but I know someone who says they taste like butter, I don't find that myself.Blue lake because I get free seeds from my MIL
And I find also that they finish early myself, I'm only growing a couple of them this year to continue to evaluate.
Try to grow at least 2 types of climbing french bean, I find it works much better, they overlap.
I'll tell you more at the end of the season, about my findings this year (remind me if I forget). But it may be useful to you.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

I've got a new bean this year, which I have great hopes for, fingers crossed. But it might all go to poo, we'll just have to see.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
