    I'm so sorry to hear about Abby - she's a beautiful little girl. My Oliver - miniature long-haired dachshund - went to the bridge in February; I'm sure he'll look out for her.
  • So sorry to hear about your loss. I know how hard it is - I had to do the same for my elderly cat a few years ago. At least she isn't in any pain now.

    Thanks everyone, there is a huge hole in our home now and it will be filled sometime in the next couple of months with another wee rescue, that's only going to be possible because Abby was such a brilliant girl for a first rescue she made rescuing very easy.

    I didn't think I would be able to have another dog after losing my 1st rescue last year, I was such a state. It took me 8 months to get to the point of considering another dog, we have had our new rescue dog about 7 or 8 weeks now, he's lovely but he's not Nell. God, I still miss that dog so much!
