Euro Exchange Rate - Info & When To Buy

Thought it would be a good idea to have a thread on the Euro, as a lot of us Brits like to go to Foriegn countries and get the most Euro for our pound.
Seems to have gone down a bit in the past few days with the UK posting weak PMI data etc....
Todays rate on Caxton is 1.09...
Anyone else have ideas, thoughts, or news articles that could affect rates?

There is already a thread for this though it's been a bit inactive for a week or two. It can sink to hour by hour rate watching which gets a bit tedious. Maybe Inspector Monkfish is on holiday.
