  • I pre-ordered the hardened edition for my son, as an early birthday prezzie.
I did it through Tesco Direct, and got £10 off, reducing it to £65, and opted to collect from the store.
There was no way I was going to entrust this to a delivery service, or risk getting it late! I've had the email telling me that it's on it's way to the store, and can pick up from 4pm. My lad finishes work at 4.30pm :D He has no idea we got him the hardened edition but what the hell; he's 21 next week.
  • Son insisted that we went to Tesco this morning at 6am. (Day off college today). They were very disorganised but very helpful. Got MW3 and 12 months live for £61. No prices up anywhere and no live out on the shop floor. One assistant went out the back to see if there were any lives and another assistant didn't think that live was included in the offer but took them to the till for us and it was. Chatting to him he said there was a queue right the way out the shop at midnight. We didn't preorder but there were plenty of both Xbox and PS3 (crate of each) lying on the floor.

Our fallback was Sainsburys as last year they had a full pallet when we went in at 8am.

I went down to Mr T's and got the game and 2100 points, used the £5 off £40 from the sun, and paid £36.99 so very happy. Also got 41 club card points!!! No-one else to be seen buying this, and it was 11.30, had loads of stock in too. Grandson is going to love his old granny when he sees this.

Thanks Ninja - clearly you haven't been to Motherwell Gamestation :D

Well sadly it appears that I was wrong - Gamestation no longer price match :(

I did really well out of them in the summer, bought a PSP+games off eBay for a trip to the states and ended up trading it all in for a 30% profit! Spent some of the credit but ended up with £31 sitting on a gift card. Figured that I was best off paying £12 cash rather than going elsewhere and saving a fiver value but spending more cash.

Ah well, have ditched my tie to Gamestation now, will probably look at HMV for future trades :)

Great game, just done first level - WOW!

It's so annoying for somewhere like Tesco not to be able to get it delivered on release day! I think in future I will stick to going to shop, I just hope I can get it when go out at lunch time

Mine never turned up from Asda either. Says dispatched yesterday but not registered at the couriers (Hermes) until today.
