SAHM paying off debts slowly

Well I woke up to find I had made a sale on fleabay and another just cachinged on my phone. So that's £10.30 to my debt account. I am now working on this again as who knows when inheritance might come in.
Kitchen is smelling nice with SW chicken chow mien in the slow cooker. I cant wait for dinner time but will resist as not ready yet.
Kids enjoyed holiday club and I managed to proof read some writing I have typed up for a friend. It may become a regular thing and there is possibility of some small payment. Its also quite cool that it will be published in a nationwide magazine - albeit a lorry magazine.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well another NSD here. Tea was yummy and filling. Friend bought round choccy eggs for us all - not very slimming - had a taste but put away for now - must resist as its fat club tomorrow and I really am very close to my stone. I will drop them off at club then go get weighed - it will be later than normal but hoping I make it in time.
Waiting on OH to get home. He has been delivering to an indian shop today. Told him to go have a look at the prices of the spices as there are some recipes I fancy trying out and I am lead to believe they will be cheaper from here. He rang and asked why I wanted one of them as the shop owner says they don't cook with it, they use it for indigestion? It is in the recipe so will give it a go.
Whilst the kids were amusing themselves in the garden I have been going through pintrest to see what other free ideas I can come up with for the summer. Because mum will be here for the half term I am wanting to get a head start as you all know I will be deep cleaning before she gets here! Origami, snail racing, painting on bread with food colouring are just some of the ones I jotted down today. It definitely is more difficult the older they get as I now need to find things to amuse the eldest who will be almost 12 and the youngest who will be almost 7. Skill wise that is a large gap. Eldest will have her week away at camp (its free!) so need to find a few nice things to do with the younger 2 so they don't feel they are missing out - not that either particularly want to go away from homeMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Good afternoon. Well this morning whilst the kids were at club I went to fat club. Lost 2 1/2 pounds which leaves me with just one little pound to go until I get my stone award. I say 'little' but whenever I get near a milestone I seem to sabotage myself and with chocolate eggs looking at me as we speak I will need a lot of will power to make it next week. 7 days left of the holidays today too. The kids like school and they cant wait to get back to their friends even though they have been kept busy at home.
Eye test for eldest this afternoon. All 3 need glasses so we are often at the local optician and we always have the same lady who now knows us all by name! A new pair ordered and told not to come back for another 12 months. She has got a pair that make her look really grown up and stylish this time and although she only really needs them for writing etc I feel she will be wearing them around the house quite a bit too. Bonus too as they are free - kids know they only get the choice of the ones with stickers on (free ones). The only exception would be for youngest DD as she wears them all day everyday unlike the other 2. They had frozen ones in the window (which cost extra) so we ended up pretending the free ones were frozen ones just not on display as the others just didn't fit her face. Thankfully the free glasses have come on a long way since I was a child.
Had to stop off at lidl again as kids are eating me out of everything. Also got their eggs from grandma (have got the money from her for those). We don't get them eggs as I know they will have a lot from everyone else. I went whilst they were at club so no extras put in the trolly!Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Just logged in to check if tax credit information had been updated and it has gone down even more. Again only by a few pounds but it should be going up not down. I guess it will all work itself out but wish it would do it sooner rather than later.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

As planned we have had a fun yet expensive morning. The kids for Christmas had been given a day out from our friends and we do the same for them. We all go together and today it was to a trampoline park. It was hot and noisy but the kids enjoyed themselves. It cost £26 once we had paid for special socks. We were then treated to Maccy D's by our friends and I paid for the ice creams (£5.16 plus a monopoly voucher which got DS an ice cream cone for free
). So over all an expensive (for us) trip out but it was planned for back in December and to be honest it is the only thing we have paid for this holiday. DS and youngest DD are happily sitting resting on the sofa watching tv and playing on tablet. Finally got DS's working again after it wouldn't work for over a month. No reason why but was starting to think that was it - more money saved (although he would be paying for the replacement). We seem to have lost his Nintendo DS though. He bought a new game the other day and went to play it but it has vanished. No idea where he has put it. Hoping it will appear one day.
We are off to banger racing this weekend to see where we will be holding an event this summer (raising money for charity). Hoping we get in for free but if not hubby is paying. So far we have raised quite a bit for the charity but we want as much as we can get.
We also have a church easter egg hunt to go to on Saturday and then a buffet at a friends house. We have been going to the easter hunt for a number of years now and the kids love it. They do crafts as well as the egg hunt and last year they had a bouncy castle too which they enjoyed.
Its gone cold here and have resorted to sitting with blankets on us. Am hoping I wont need to turn the heating on like we did last night. Must read the meter actually and get an idea of how much we have used recently as we don't have a tumble dryer at the mo and no heating on.
Also quite exciting for me and my DS (girls couldn't care less) we got our first new £1 coin. OK not that exciting but we have been wanting to see it since them came out.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well apart from a few bits of food we have had a few days with no spending. Lots of chocolate eggs consumed, a new baby in the family (not mine) and those members of the family that only seem to pay attention to you when they want something!
Hubby out today working so its just me and the kids - he is on holiday then for a week or so. Me and the kids have been so busy that we are quite happy to be on the sofa snuggled up under blankets and watching films whilst they eat chocolate and I try not too lol. Soon back to school and back to the daily grind of school runs and after school clubs.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Great hubby just called to say car was broken - new wheel bearing needed. Am hoping he has done one of these before and can do it himself. Still no savings in the pot to buy the parts though as all savings were spent on replacing broken cooker, tv and car a few months back
I hate the fact we just cant make any progress. There is nothing else I can personally cut back on. Even hubby is trying. Need to get bits on flebay and fb I guess to try and sell them to get savings up a bit. Fingers crossed the tax credits get sorted soon tooMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
