Seller said item no longer available then relists it next day

I won an item on Saturday for £20.

Immediately after the auction I get an email from the seller saying that the item is no longer available so don't pay for it.

I'd be happy to do that - however, I noticed on Sunday that he's just relisted exactly the same item (and due to the nature of what it is it must be the same item - he's used the same picture/description too) for £30 BIN.

He's obviously not happy selling to me for £20, he wanted more.

I did actually pay for the item initially and have had my paypal money refunded. What should be my next move?

If you can be bothered give the selller one more chance to do the right thing...email and say that they appear to have found your item and you will be happy to repay the original £20 and get the item.

If they don't respond in a reasonable period leave a non positive and reflect your experience int heir stars.

ebay doesn't have a bad name though. Sellers like that give themselves a bad name. I watched a phone auction repeated three times as the seller didn't get his price. Barmy, as he had four feedback and three negatives.

The other daft thing is of course that seller has paid FVFs and listing fees on th eoriginal sale, which would not have been cheap, and is now having to pay them all again and probably get a neg as well. Hardly seems worth the bother

Hope you didn't agree to a mutual cancellations, he would have received his FVF fees back, but you can still leave fb and stars.

Wow, i'm always anti neg feedback (unless all else as been tried), and here i am agreeing a neg is the way forward for the 2nd time in as many days. People like this are as bad as shill bidders - and need weeding out.

This happened to me recently, and i have refrained from feedback, while i calm down. But i'm still tempted to neg. I Just have not decided if a neutral would suffice.

I have never failed to honour a sale. Last week i could not find an item i had listed - so i went out and paid £10 more than the sale price to replace it. On other occasions, where i have spotted a problem before sending - i have got another ebayer to send them one - and they are non the wiser.

If i buy something, i pay for it, even if i change my mind about the item or see it cheaper.

I have no time for people breaking the rules - ebay would be a better place without them. Just a shame Ebay don't appreciate the good ones.

report him to ebay as he obligated to complete the sale under their policies and if you can prove that the relisted item is the same item you bid and won then he has to honour the transaction with you.

As no-one has mentioned filing a non-performing seller report......can you still do them?
