Max - I'd have never tried freezing sarnies until I massively over-catered for DS2's birthday party last week. I was left with 6 each of cheese and ham (2 slices of bread per sarnie). I bagged the lot and they've been great - cheese, ham, and both together. I'm not sure which other fillings I'd try to freeze, but I'll never waste ham again! It's also been good for me, as I've not gone without lunch for a week.
This week I'm planning on taking some bits to go with it, like tomatoes and strips of peppers.
Another two weeks until our timetable changes (we're starting the next academic year early) and we'll have 40 minutes for lunch instead of half an hour. :j0
