Not a huge pile done today, been to sisters to get her grass strimmed. Made a start on the kitchen and thats about it.

DD woke BIL at 5.30 this morning to see if it was time to go yet. She's very excited about her trip.:rotfl:

Plan now is to make a phone call and then carry on with the lists, hubby can give a hand. The house is a disgrace and Rhys has coloured in the front door with marker.

AnW'sMum thinking of you all today.
Toots and LadyL love and hugs.
dancemum big hugs sweetie, hope your ok.
Mummyof5 Hope your DS is feeling better soon, sounds very scary.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Worksurfaces and DW done, tea done and on low for us later (and the kids ate and enjoyed it, hurrah!) - just feeding the boy to sleep then will crack on a bit more.

Uropachild have you taken into account your free nursery hours - they kick in the term after he/she turns 3. In a private nursery that usually accounts for 3 half day sessions for 33 weeks of the year - so it will reduce your monthly bill a bit. My eldest goes for 2 1/2 days which would ordinarily be £433 pcm (@£40 per day), but I pay £280 pcm for her.

I faced the same dilemma when I returned to work after no.2 as I have 21 months between my babies. What worked for me was changing my job to work long days - 14 hour shifts - but only 2 days instead of 3. I've since dropped some hours to do 1xlong day and 1xearly shift as it was too much for DH. I'm only in profit by about £250 a month though :(:( <cries> and my pension I suppose. TBH I would still try to work even if I was only in profit by £1 because its hard to take more than a year - 2 yrs max out of my profession, and the pension and other fringe benefits. Also its a break from the kids!! Would it be a possibility to compress your hours eg 8-6 to work fewer days?

welcome to the thread Pernicious - just post when you can - you might find it helps to post because you feel 'obliged' to do it then!!! and when a flyer is on a roll it motivates the rest of us .......doesn't it???????
You are right about frog list - the things you have been putting off recently.
mummyyof5 hope LO is ok and you have recovere as well (((hugs)))
well done to all those acheiving something today - it all helps - make sure you get the rest of the household to help and that could double your efforts.

    I am home!

    have made several phone calls
have done 1 x WM - all dried nicely outside
been to town on my chair for a prescription, food shopping, rent money, etc etc
    put shopping away
    went and paid rent
went to flat and checked for mail etc
watered plants at flat - doubt if they will recover though

better check and see whats next:D
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last

Hi everyone, thanks for the lists and support. Trying to catch up with the washing from the weekend, plus some ironing but I am rather sore from doing too much whilst away.

Uprora, can you look into child care vouchers? They made the difference between it being worth me working and not in the early years with two under 3 in nursery. PM me if you need more info or details to give to your boss or your DHs boss depending on who pays most tax.

Thinking of you and yours today AnW

Here's what I've acheived today. Kitchen looks loads better.

Also DW, WM x 3 including car seat cover for infant carrier going to Grandma's. Boy, it made me sweat getting that back on! Now gone to GMs so that's something else gone out of my house. :D

Will figure out how to use steam mop after littleys in bed and maybe mop the floor with it.

I'm only partly flying this week, I've really got to concentrate on my big delivery on Thursday. That said, today I've done the following:

    - walked the dogs, twice
    - fed horse, twice
    - groomed and mucked out
    - picked, packed and posted 50 orders
    - put fresh sheets on the bed
    - laundered the sheets which came off the bed
    - cleared the floordrobe in the bedroom
    - taken the wheelie bin up the drive
    - done some wedding stuff

Going to wipe the kitchen down after supper.
