We don't have a motorbike.. for obvious reasons.. lol..
I'm VERY particular about how my washing is folded..
What's his tea making ability like? Cat feeding? Bin emptying? Could he reach my smoke alarms without finding the step ladders? Or wipe the kitchen wall units without needing the dining chairs to trample on? ooooh... mine loads the dishwasher too. though he does wash the dishes before putting them in which baffles me but he enjoys it I think.. *shrug*LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Well, i'm in a funk today. I spent a lot of this morning fiddling about with a tax credits calculator trying to see whether it would be worth me going back to work after my maternity leave runs out in September. If i go back 16 hours again and put both kids in nursery for those two days it works out that childcare fees cancel out my wages completely then buying train fares puts me in the red.
Then when i got the kids ready to go to the shop i discovered that we had left the pram in the car that DH takes to work, so i am stuck in the house and we have no tomato puree for our veggie curry!
To say i am in a mood is an understatement. It just gets so depressing being in the house all day long with no one to talk to except the kids (bless them!). When i get stuck here for the day it is depressing, then to find out that i will probably be better off giving up my job and having to spend an indefinite expanse of time at home... WAHHH!!!!
Don't get me wrong, i LOVE being at home with the kids, but i enjoy my job and working two days a week was perfect for us. I think i was a better mummy on the days i did spend with the kids because i had that separate life as "Sarah the grown up" too.
My boss and I are emailling at the moment to thrash out the terms of my return. Here's hoping for a miracle with an offer of evening/weekend work from home so DH can be childcare with a few trips to the office/clients.Sarah.
