Does your cousin know you'd been charging rent by the way?I'm guessing by you deciding to 'let the rent go' so there are no tenancy issues and your first comment about him saying he could stay there for free means he did not.Enjoy explaining that one when it all comes out

Then why mention your epileptic child? What difference does it make that he wasn't "available" to ride the ambulance?

I was a single parent with 3 children and my eldest son had a grand mal and I called the ambulance. No, I couldn't go with him in the ambulance because it was the middle of the night (not evening!) and I couldn't even ask a neighbour to sit with my two sleeping children. My primary concern was for my eldest son - second was my two younger children - 3rd was the dilema of how to juggle both. I didn't rely on a 2nd ambulance to taxi me and my children. I waited until I could wake the two younger ones without causing them distress, dress them and get a taxi to the hospital to be with my eldest son.

You do come across as someone who has the attitude that the world "owes" you something (2nd ambulance, indeed!).
