Busy day for me again. More dusting away the builder's dust and finding new homes for bits n pieces. Im horrified to say that I have found four single duvet covers still in their packaging :eek::eek: I will hopefully use them but cant believe I forgot i had them. Well I can, actually, as they were delivered when I was very poorly before xmas and they were just put away.

Kids Dad has been clearing out and "dusting" his beloved garage ( I kid you not);) Without being disrespectful to Virgos - he is a typical virgo!!!
Again full of builders dust. Anyway we are nearly sorted now except for some work on Tuesday. I cant believe the difference my shower has made x

Im girding my loins for the next three weeks. I have DS2 doing 18 GCE exams, DD doing her A levels and DS3 sitting some of his GCEs. Think I'm more nervous than they are. Got the heeby jeebies just looking at the maths paper earlier!!! Good luck to all those sitting exams xx

Well Im away to bed to catch up on my favourite threads. Hope you all have a lovely evening and a restful sleep xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Hi all, hope its been a good weekend for you all.We visited the new farmers market near us yesterday aft,got 2 packs of sausages, one toulouse, the other damson & pork. Also some soap from a lavender stall. Will freeze the toulouse ,but had the d& p for brunch today, gorgeous.

Met some friends last night to watch their son perform in a new band he's in now, enjoyed them but not the main act.Still we also saw some other friends we've not seen for ages so we enjoyed the evening.

Intended to BBq for tea, using some kebabs & burgers DH got from a lovely butchers near the job he's on.As its been persisting down a lot of the day and dropped 10 deg,I had to cook in the oven-very nice tho'.

Spent the afternoon at DH aunty & uncle. Finally told them we will be grandparents in Sept- as they are both nearly 90 and married 60+ years, they like it if people are nicely married off first ;),but took it well and hope everything works out ok.

Right, off to watch some telly, and read my bag making bible I got from Amazon yesterday.Hugs to anyone in need.

I would like to join in if I may. I generally just lurk on various threads but it would be nice to be able to share what I do. Today OH had some squishy tomatoes fried on toast for his breakfast. Dinner was reduced beef, yorkies, peas, beans and home grown potatoes which were cooked with mint from the garden. Pudding was home grown rhubarb made into a crumble. This evening I have had 6 home grown strawberries as a treat (OH doesn't eat them) and I have made a loaf in the breadmaker. The garden has been watered with all the washing up water although we have had a short shower of rain. I have finished sewing up a knitted jerkin for myself and thats been put away for the winter.
