Good evening,
I need to buy a new PC for work and the recommeded spec for the mid-range pc is as follows, but I would like to make sure this is still the 'latest' hardware and I would also like some advice on where is best to buy from, price wise and service wise.
Spec:
Intel Core i5 2400 3.10GHz 64bit Quad-core processor
4GB PC3-1333mhz Dual channel DDR3 memory
(2 x 2GB modules with 2 freeslots for upgrade)
NVIDIA Quadro 2000 1GB graphics card
300GB HDD (sats2) 10000RPM speed
320GB HDD (sata2) 7200 RPM speed
DVD/RW
Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.
Thanks
Phil

is this the spec you've been given or one you've put together yourself ??
Lot of video editing involved in your work ?? Of not, why the hdd overkill and single optical drive ???......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

The spec given above is one put together by workstation solutions, recommended for my 3d modelling package.
but its £1000.....--- Fat club weight loss -- Started 10th April 2015

Its a business spec PC, they are supposed to be more reliable, built with better parts, etc.
What you really supposed to be paying for is decent customer service, they normally fix and replace stuff without quibble, esp laptops seriously buy a business laptap and a consumer laptop from the same manufacturer and the difference in the level of service you get is night and day.
but 90% of the time I think its just a way to extract more money from businesses.
Then again I personally wouldn't use an off the shelf consumer pc as a workstation.0
