Is it normal policy to be asked to pay a £25 fee to cancel broadband, after being with them for 18 months!?

This is a BT fee for cancellation if the broadband service is terminated, they charge this to all ISP's in your case Plusnet, most pass this on to the customer to recoup the charge, if you transfer your broadband to another ISP using a MAC there is no fee.0

The BT Openreach cease charge has been in place for over two years now, your Plusnet t&c's will show this charge. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

If you join Plusnet I assume you no longer have line rental with BT? If this is the case do you have to pay if you want your BT line back?0
