  • The reason why I state that 3 days rule, you are correct in stating the dispute process starts after 4 days, however you can relist the item with buyitnow after the 4th day, e.g pay within 2 days via paypal or item will be relisted, then on 3rd day relist it.

You can relist it at any time but would hit problems if the original bidder pays, especially if you've listed as BIN, you could then have 1 item with 2 buyers both able to leave feedback.
I took a chance on 2 items not paid for where the cases closed on Monday & relisted on Sunday night, if the original buyers had then paid I would have cancelled the new listings.
From the time you open a NPB the buyer has another 4 days in which to pay, before you can close the case.
