Welcome, I hope the sun stays out and you have a good day in the garden.

A bit of advice needed now from please. I have an expensive pair of trainers (easytone http://www.jjbsports.com/reebok-easytone-reeinspire-ii-womens-toning-trainers/easytone/shop/fcp-product/19183) which obv I didn't buy at full price, half price and a jjb voucher. Anyways they are getting fairly dirty and I have a button on my washing machine for trainers. Has anyone washed decent trainers in their washing machine?
They look nice Blue...I won Puma Body Trainers from lucozade comp, thank goodness they're nearly all black, just a bit of pink and white/silver trim...have you tried Nikwak shoe cleaning gel, it's very good
    http://www.nikwax.com/en-gb/index.php

Top of the page there is a link 'Play the web quiz'....it's dead easy and they will send you a really good sample of their stuff...I've had the shoe gel in a good size sample...the other samples are really good too....should have added have never washed trainers in a machine , but if it says you can, then should be OK prob have to be carfeul with washing product you use

Thanks bully I will get the sample and try it. The trainers are the same as the pic except they are all white. They are very comfy though, but now not very nice for going out in. I have been wanting to ask for advice for ages, but didn't want to ask on the coupon thread and didn't know where else on mse to ask, so glad this thread was opened/we can talk bout owt.

I have tried the quiz bully and the best I got was 8/10 but there was nowhere after submitting my answers to get a sample. Do you have to get 10/10 to get a sample?
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I'm copying my last post from the printable coupon thread here, for those who are no longer following the thread.
    Morning all

I think this will be my last post for a while at least, as I'm not sure I even want to be a lurker at the moment. The last few days the atmosphere on here is not what it was and while I don't mind reading through posts that include non coupon chat, I can't say I enjoyed the rather sad reading of late. I hope things will settle down eventually, but for now I have more than enough to fit in to my day without wading through all the "unhappy" posts, and seeing what was once one happy thread, turned into 2 threads where no one really seems to be happy. :(

Having a quick scan through this thread, now I know where you all are. Will need to read through it all later and catch. Only went away for the weekend and came back to what appears to be lots of bickering. Let's hope the coupon thread does not end up going the same way as the old Boots thread. Why oh why can people not be polite and appreciate all the hard work that IS had put into the old thread. Let's hope she doesn't give up altogether.

Off to print some coupons now then shopping later. Just ordered a new clubcard for OH but been waiting for over 2 weeks. Was hoping he might have got some coupons to start him off using his new card.

On a separate note, I gave a couple of wombles to my dad to get added to his card but I go to a largish store and he goes to a small one. He said he was so embarrassed as he was told he should have gone back to original store to get points added and not to bother to ask his local store to do it again. He had gone to CS (I told him to do that), then they called a supervisor over, then he had to go to the till. As he is nearly 80 and not very steady on his feet, I thought this was disgusting. Do you have to go back to original store or can they be added on at any store?

That is disgusting the way your dad was treated. I would get him a moneycard from Tesco HO by complaining. I get my points added at my local express for stores all over including extras & Metros. I find it a lot easier than going to cs in big stores. They just scan the receipt or if the barcode doesn't work they have even put them on manually for me. I don't always buy anything, just go to the till and say "can you add these points for me please"

Well put IS, I hope things settle down now and that you and moneytight can work together updating the thread. I think it is a good solution and then if you find it is still too much moneytight will know what work is involved and if she/he is still inclined then they might offer again to take the thread over (if they decide it is worth the hassle;)).
