Blue - yes, I still had to pay my stall money yesterday, despite it raining. Felt sorry for the food van - I bet he had only had half a dozen customers before the rain came down.
PM and Leemings - hope your toothache eases up today. Try rinsing your mouth in salt water if you have an infection or abscess.
Re coupon thread - I don't like the tone at the moment, seems there are some bad tempered people over there, (as well as some nice ones) so best to keep out of it at the moment. Don't like the way some people are trying to upset Idlesaver by making sarky remarks. They seem to forget she has been running it for a long time. I really hope she tells to where to go and doesn't get upset enough to leave.

:hello:Hi CW, nice to see you here.
Did you loose money at the car boot then if you packed up early?
I don't like what is happening with the coupon thread atm either so am hiding here atm till things (hopefully) settle down. The format for the coupons on the front page has worked brill for years, so why talk about changing it. Guess some people know better than those who have been using it for years;) I think its a "takeover" and IS may let them get on with it:(
btw this thread is so we can talk about all kinds of stuff away from the coupon thread, please don't anyone see the coupon thread talk about how unhappy some people are and quote it over there just to carry on the arguments;)Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

oh went to rugby yesterday and they were giving out 50p coupons for irn bru there only 60p at asda and have got 18 coupons so works out at 10p each.i just told him how many coupons i got and he said i aint standing wiv ya when you go to a till your on your own so i told him it alrite you can go wobble a load of receipts while im at till he just glared at me lol will have to give him a crash course in wombling he aint asked what it is yet :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: hopefully theyll all go through (had to edit spelling awful)
Can you not split your shopping a bit. Get OH to go through with 5 items at the quick till, I think the limit is 5 or it might be 6 coupons at a time before they call a supervisor. (the tills tell them supervisor override required) You can carry on shopping. Get him to do this a 3 or 4 times and keep putting the stuff in the car. That will reduce your pile of coupons a bit. Still think you will have some delays at the till.
In asda I think the most I have used at one go would be around 12. Two weeks ago the supervisor recognised me and realised I had been in several times that week using printable coupons. She said "your keeping your printer busy, aren't you".
So good luck, hope you get to use them all.:rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Blue
I was lucky and I didn't lose money. I had quite a few customers between the first shower and the proper downpour.
But I would have had a good say if I had stayed and it hadn't rained. There was only about a dozen cars so lots of customers to go around 12 cars meant we were busy. So still glad I did one, but drying everything out afterwards was a killer to. Everything needed drying so it took me 2 hours of drying everything with towels and then re boxing it all.

Don't know how many people have an asda near them but Veet hair minimising body lotion is £4.98 there but only £3.32 in Sainsbobs so you would get a £1.99 price check voucher back; plus veet are offering a "Try me Free" offer so you would get the £4.98 you paid back. Potentially getting yourself £1.99 and a free tube of Veet stuff because you only need to send the reciept to get your money back.
Of course, you'd still have to get the 8 comparable items and make sure they were all more expensive or the same price as another shop, but may be worth knowing for someone.
