Blame the deed not the breed.
I have registered with the forum but still cannot access this particular page, just the general menu one. How long do the mods take to fully accept new members?
I joined last nite, post in the introduction forum on there and it should work in a bit... mine was within an hour

I would happily take on all abandoned staffs I adore them. We HAD 2, 1 put to sleep last week
. Hubby getting puppy next week. I am so sad as I wanted a rescue dog. That day may still come though. I wish I had loads of money I would buy a field, fence it, build a home and adopt the lot on death row!
Makes me so angry these poor dogs, they are indeed the "nanny dog". Mine are/were anyway.
My aunty used to breed her's but stopped now due to the amount of unwanted staffs. She currently has 6, they are all adorable, and all get on well with anything and anybody. (one staff she rescued from a nutter, the dog was part of her earlier litter, he was abused badly, he is a nervous dog but the most loving!)0 -
Hi guys, just to reiterate the dogs arent for rehoming but are looking for rescue places.
There are a few dogs on the site under We need a home which are dogs that we have released from the pound then held in an emergency boarding place because no rescue places were available. Some of these have been in boarding for weeks and we have had them neutered and vaccinated and checked out - they can be rehomed but only those. There is a little old terrier on there who was found with a growth on her chest so large it was dragging along the ground. A little tee shirt was put on her to stop that and then we paid for vet investigation. It turned out to be just fat and was removed safely, bless her she has now had a grooming too and can actually see the world through beautiful brown eyes - she is looking for a home but she is elderly and arthritic. In the first pic, you can see the lump, the size of a football virtually, hanging down in the tee-shirt

Wow Hethmar, what a difference in wee Phoebe! That lump must've been sooooo uncomfortable.
I hope some other places have been found (and that your other post hasn't meant they weren't).Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Well, some b****dy stars at Rochdale Dog Rescue have now managed to get every one of the dogs to safe places. Absolute angels those people xxx0

That's great news! It is a little late now but if you need it in future there is a dog rescue near me which specialises in death row dogs so it may be worth contacting them if needs be, I can't post links yet (new user) but if you google 'Chance Pixies' they should come up at the top.0

Thank you to everybody who has helped these dogs

Thanks for updating us hethmar im so glad they are all safe, that black and white staff's face broke my heart...
Hope they all have a happy life and find lovely forever homes
Its such a wonderful job these rescues do :T0 -
Thanks for letting us know that they've all got places to stay. If only I had my own house I'd home them no problem, I love animals so much I just wish I could help more

I think the first thing you should tell ANYONE is if the dog you are trying to re-home attacks other dogs, if it does the dog should be destroyed immediately and not given to a new owner who could end up in court.
Any kind of "fighting Dog" or part breed off that attacks other dogs should be destroyed .
Thats the most stupid thing i've read in a long time. Staffies are wonderful dogs and given a bad name by idiot chav men who shouldn't be in charge of a loo brush never mind a living creature. All rescue centres check out temperament before allowing a dog to be rehomed.
I really hope ignorant comments like this don't deter anyone reading this thread and being put off from offering to help.:beer:0
