Please, can anyone help save these dogs

As some of you know I am involved in a dog rescue in Rochdale which places "death row" pound dogs. At the mo all our emergency boarding places (which we pay for personally) are full and we are unable to find enough rescues in the country to take some dogs on their last few days.
Please go to Rochdale Dog rescue, join the forum and you will be able to see the dogs who have still not been placed. We have sent out dozens and dozens of emails to our "usual" rescues but everywhere seems full up. If anyone knows of rescue places available, please contact RDR.

"I was made aware of these dogs towards the end of last week and I went to see them today. They have been saved from "pounds" where they were due to be put to sleep and brought into holding kennels in the Manchester area where they have been ever since. Unfortunately their time in the holding kennels is running out and they only have a few days before they will need to be taken to be put to sleep. We have taken Billy in today but we don't have anymore space. Please can any rescues help these poor dogs, all of them are really nice natured."
This is one of the dogs still looking for a place

I think the first thing you should tell ANYONE is if the dog you are trying to re-home attacks other dogs, if it does the dog should be destroyed immediately and not given to a new owner who could end up in court.
Any kind of "fighting Dog" or part breed off that attacks other dogs should be destroyed .Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Do you mind if I ask exactly how you know that the dogs in question are fighting dog. Looks like a staffy to me, and they are unfortunately tone of the most abandoned breed in the UK. Dont think that makes them killing machines though.0 -
Where did that come from?

NO such breed as a staffy I take it you mean a Staffordshire bull terrior crossed wth blue nosed American pitbul or "staffy" to get round fighting dog regulations.fantasia322 wrote: »Do you mind if I ask exactly how you know that the dogs in question are fighting dog. None of these Staffy dogs meet anywhere near the breed standard for a Stafordshire Bull terrier, hence why they never have pedigrees.
They are bred primarily with the intention of fighting and killing other dogs and most are very good at it.
They are a danger to law abiding civilised folk who want to walk a family pet without it getting mauled to death by some thick sods half Bred pitbull.
On Good natured, I take it it has been tested and left in the vicinity of a few other pet type pedigree dogs, rolled over and showed them his belly ?
Well done, you have the exception,Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Blame the deed not the breed.
I have registered with the forum but still cannot access this particular page, just the general menu one. How long do the mods take to fully accept new members?0 -

They are not fighting dogs vax - just strays thrown out when no longer of amusement to the owner, one poor little soul was only about 4 months old.

This will be done before they are allowed to be rehomed.
Further, we do not normally rehome dogs - we are looking for rescue places, as mentioned above. In rescues they will be assessed for personality - however in the case of these souls, they have been in the pound and then a holding rescue for a few weeks so they will have already shown their behaviour with people and other dogs.
Until the recent fashion for chav young men to have a staffie, which through various means they tried to make aggressive (we have seen them with acid thrown on them and cigarette burns over them and still soft as butter) they were known as the "nanny dog" as their good behaviour meant they were often left to care for broods of children in days gone by. Its a great shame that a few non caring owners have bred this poor dog and tried to give it a hard reputation.
The goodish news is that out of the 6 only 2 are now left looking for rescue places to take them.
For those who think staffs are vicious - here is a video of one of the little girls now safe in emergency boarding and looking for a rescue or in her case a home as she has now been neutered, innoculated and in RDRs care for long enough to assess her as a safe dog.

And here is little elsie exercising in the new paddock we raised funds for at the emergency boarding kennels, which we pay for the dogs to stay in to save them from being pts and whilst they wait for a rescue place.

Neither of those girls were in this group of 6 which were due to be pts this coming week but both were in a pound where they were given 7 days to be reclaimed and are then pts. Our group, like many other groups of this sort, look for rescue spaces to take the pound dogs and get them out on their last day and move them all over the country in relays to safe rescue places to be assessed and then rehomed. If we dont find the places in those 7 days and if we have enough funds we place them in the emergency boarding whilst we continue to look for a rescue place for them.0 -
I would gladly take little Billy off you from that picture if I hadn't already rescued Nasher (my Staff crossed with a Jack Russel, quite an excitable little thing  ). I would like 2 dogs but he isn't that great around other ones (he doesn't 'attack' but is too aggressive to trust around others off a lead) so we cant have him, would be a shame to put him down0
