Which makes your use of it even more distasteful. The fact that you use it as an everyday term, is sad; very sad indeed. You even linked to google (mistakenly thinking you were clever) where the first entry described it as a racist term, on the same footing as n*****.

I wouldn't say every day, maybe when we get takeaway I'd say 'getting a !!!!!!', but TBH I don't remember the last time I said that either - was literally a shorthand forum usage that you've blown out of proportion and labelled me as some form of racist scum, which is completely unfair and unfounded.

I didn't even look at the results, just copied the link from lmgtfy, honestly believed it was a completely unoffensive term used by people everywhere.

I've edited my previous posts, please do the same.

I had a Chinese scooter it was from boatian. It was a 125 and it was really nippy and I used it every day for over a year only stopped using it when we moved house. I still have it but it is going to be scrapped as it's all rusty now but it has been sitting outside with no cover on for over 3 years so it's not the scooter's fault or the make. I bought it for £325 delivered which was a he'll of a lot cheaper than other brands. Ok this is a scooter not a bike but I didnt have any problems with the build quality the only thing which never worked was the fuel gauge which was a pain and yes I have run out of petrol from time to time. I would certainly get another one and the parts were cheap and ok.

Two people at work have sukidas and they find them ok.

What kind was it? The sport or cruiser models and what about rust?
Cruiser, the only rust is on me!!,runs like a dream(& yes ,i had a Honda dream back in the 70's,then a super dream back in the '80's).If you look after the Chinese's bikes, they are fine,& a lot easier than modern Jap bikes.
  • Ive not owned one ...but have looked and read up on the honda cg125's ..and decided that they are probably the most ultimate durable small bike ever built..i put it higher than the cub ..there are storys on the net of them exceeding 100,000 miles ..

the earlier ones are Japanese built ..and they are the best ..so i hear ..

later ones built in Brazil .

Read the write up on the design and build on of them on the Honda site...makes you want to own one ..when you read about to amount of thinking and design for longevity that they built into them ..designed to be able to carry three or more passengers ...designed to run with poor oil and poor petrol ..the list goes on .

    a true classic .

    Hi,

I have had a couple of Chinese bikes over the last 11 years.

First i had a jinlun ZS125, this was a great little bike and i commuted to work and back on it for over 5 years and clocked up 20K miles on it.
During ownership the only problem that i kept having were throttle cables snapping on it, other than that just tires, inner tubes chains and sprockets.
Quality generally was not bad at all.

Then i bought a dayang DY200, this was an awfully bike.
Their was so much vibration that it was like riding a sander!
Also the engine leaked oil straight away and generally it was just rubbish!

If owning a Chinese bike you need to be pretty savvy with the spanners to keep them on the road.

chinese bikes are junk, every time you ride one bits will break or fall off,i had a gy125 lovely looking bike but cheap plastics and the frame was made from toffee, every part was made so cheaply you never knew if it was either going to snap in half or break down.you should be able to pick up a tw125 for about £700,i'd go for that

    chinese bike initially cheap
but wait till you need new ling long part
and as bad ,these things have no value at move on time either ,(residuals)

What utter crap, often peddled by the mainstream dealers ;) the only way these bikes will fall apart is if they arent put together right or maintained, alot can be said for a bottle of loctite..

Ive now had a sanya sy125 for 4 years and it hasnt skipped a beat.
Wish the same could be said for a mates brand new cg125, broke own 4 or 5 times in a matter of weeks.

Aslong as you maintain these cheep chinese bikes, and dont mind getting down with a spanner then you will have many thousands of happy riding miles.

Parts? well theres hundreds of online dealers, loads of breakers on ebay etc etc all these chinese models use the same generic parts, so a part off a sukida will more than likely fit on to a sanya.

Well did my theory test today. 49/50 for questions and 57/75 for hazards, pass lines are 43 and 44! :D So that's nice.

Been keeping an eye on a few on eBay and looking on Gumtree etc., seen a couple of cheapish CGs et al come and go but don't have the cash to put up for them right now, will continue looking and keep researching Chinese bikes on the side, just in case my credit card starts calling! ;)
