Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the
Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all
Hubby working today, but not til 8 so he's having a lie in.
My house looks like an off licence, I have trays of lager, coke, lemonade stacked everywhere, along with cartons of fruit juice & umpteen bottles of fake champagne. This & the food is what I'm spending money on for the Handfasting, the feast afterwards.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

    Good Morning everyone ,
had a great day with Henry and tribe yesterday.Took the boys to the local Toys-R-Us to spend their birthday cash then back to their house for lunch then in the late afternoon we all went to see Kung Fu Panda 2 which they wanted to see followed by meeting Mum afterwork at the local Pizza Hut for dinner.I am all 'birthdayed' out after this week with DGS Mikey's on Wednesday and DGS Henry's yesterday.
Today as I have a day off I am leaving to drive to Greenwich around 8.00.a.m. where I am meeting up with my Uni class for a two hour blue badge walk around historical greenwhich then at lunchtime I am going to lunch at my eldest DD's in-laws where I will drop off some craft cards for the lady who does the Danson show for her bone cancer fund. Then late afternoon again on the way south I am going to my friends in Dartford for an evening meal plus a meet up with other mutual friuends so I expect to be home sometime before midnight !!!.Another busy day ahead I think.Although I have to walk with a stick, the blue badge chaps are brilliant and we do get to have a rest at various intervals on the way.If you ever get a chance to go on one in London they are great fun and very interesting .Tomorrow I have an appointment at 11 with the lass who trims my hair at her house as she has been away this week as its half term and she phoned last night to say she was home . Very reasonable at £7.00 for a trim.Monday my car goes in for its first MOT as I am changing it to a diesel the following week.So next week looks to be a busy one as well.Right time for some coffee I think to charge the batteries up.Hope you all have a great day whatever you are doing
    Cheers chums JackieO xx

Morning Hester (and JackieO) and all who follow

There appear to be 2 threads, can someone please merge them?

I was up at 6am as it's too hot and bright to sleep. Can't believe the change in weather. Last Sat I went out wear jeans, boots, top, hoodie and winter coat, today it'll be shorts and a vest and flip flops!

OS wise - WM is on, I've portioned up last night's LO chilli and frozen, need to hoover and Ebay stuff later.

Other plans include sunbathing on balcony :) and meeting girls for lunch

Off back to bed with cuppa and book for a bit.

    Have a good Saturday all

Good morning JackieO and all to follow.
Wow JackieO, I'm exausted just reading about your escapades.
I too have had a very busy week looking after my two DGDs (8 & 4). DGS3 (just turned 10) has also been staying to be with his cousins. So, all meals have been for 12 - the DW has been on overdrive!!

We have done loads of washing, taking advantage of the fantastic drying weather.

Really enjoyed half-term but it has passed so quickly.

Happy Saturday folks, hugs to those who need or want,
    Cheers, Silver x

Morning JackieO and all who follow.

Been up since about quarter to, but have been doing some online surveys - how frustraing, i only need to earn 45p more to cash one of my accounts in!! nevermind, it will happen soon enough!

Got a few bits planned today, going to get some fresh fruit and veggies from Lidl, need to drop some keys off at an estate agents, puppy needs a new collar so we'll go to pets at home for that i think (and maybe a new toy :) ) then need to clean the house! Not planning on going out tonight, so might get a bottle of wine and try and find a good movie.

Ohhh and look what was in my garden this morning!!

Bargainbird - I know! I got a collar for 1p from tescos and he's not allowed to wear it!! Pup will enjoy the trip to PAH anyway :)

Freudianslip - I'm waiting for OH to wake up so we can try them together, we have 2 hanging baskets, the other one is lagging behind slighty and will take a while longer, but i'm SO pleased!
