trouble with Virgin again?

Options
Is anyone else having trouble with Virgin broadband tonight or is it my PC playing up?I would phone them except for the fact that even when they have national outages the website never shows them having any problems and when you do phone they assure you it is your equipment and not them. Some websites seem better than others, I'm really struggling on mSE for instance and it has taken me approx 6 minutes just to open this new message pane.

    If you're on cable broadband & have the TV service,try & use the On Demand.I that works,then it's your end.If not then it's VM's.
Thing is,your problems may be limited to the area &,more specifically, the Node you are connected to (two large street cabinets near where you live) & therfore you are experincing a local outage which would not show up on the website as a national outage because it isn't.

Cant log in to my home phone account and cant get through on 150.This months bill is for £68.00,but cant get through to query it. Does anyone know if 18185 is still ok? calls have gone through on 18185 charging, but perhaps Virgin are now charging for these as well?

I've only just managed to get back onto MSE again! For once the Virgin status page is reporting a problem with broadband so it looks like it might not be just me after all but my area.

Its been like it for 2 days - advice on virgin users forum is to use a proxy server - I'd link but can't load the virgin site:eek:
It was internet options - connections - LAN settings - use proxy server - enter - webcache.virginmedia.com - then port 8080
Doesn't work for all but has got me on here

Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

Calls via the 18185 Virgin Cable 0808 Freephone Access Number should only be charged by 18185. Virgin treat it as a freephone call.;)
