If he did then there may yet be a chance for the dodo.Me: *Sound of door slamming in his face*
Well done you!
* This should in no way be taken to imply anything about your undoubted gorgeousness but rather a sort of stunned disbelief that there are still people around who would say that to you on your own doorstep when about to try and sell you something. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
That was what annoyed me most! Cheeky s*d.
Obviously I am totally gorgeous (for an old bag! :rotfl:) but I've got underwear that's probably older than him. I think he thinks that a little bit of insincere flattery means that I'm going to swoon and sign a contract at the door.
I should have called him "Big Boy" and offered him a *coffee*, I bet he would have run then!

I don't actually mind being accosted by Virgin Media salesmen since we swapped over to Sky. I get to have a nice little rant about the On Demand service that never worked, the channels we kept losing and the strange way our bill kept creeping up whilst the actual services we were getting were increasingly poor. And not to mention the Internet. Where do I start with VM's Internet?
I think we pay a few quid extra with Sky but for that we get Internet that actually works, a telephone line we can hear down, HD telly and Sky Anytime+. It's like Christmas.
The VM salesmen don't really have anything to say after that...:D'til the end of the line0 -
IIRC the current Virgin 10Mb service is capped for downloads, which may be why you were advised the 30Mb. Though the whole Virgin sales system is somewhat unfair.Truth always poses doubts & questions.
