I think you may struggle to find a loan, at least one with a decent rate.
However, the one bit of advice I can offer is don't do anything drastic. Having you around is the most important thing for your family. Providing for them is an extra. There are plenty of peoplein your position, but something will turn up.
What line of business are you in?0 -
Have you thought about applying to the Prince's Trust?
They help under 30s set up in business & support them.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Thankyou Both of you..
Drastic is all i have now as people around me keep saying"not much use too life if you dont contribute to it".
I have tried the Princes trust but i personally was told that funding to the over 25's is next to none available unless exceptional. So much red tape an all i want to do is work.
I am looking to get back into vehicle body repair(panel beating in old skool terms lol)..I secured an apprenticeship in my 20's for a main agent but paying £2.33phr..My mums disabled and my local authority didnt give a dam so i had to leave an take an unskilled job paying more,so alas im here now.:o0 -
Being unemployed means you will struggle to get any conventional personal finance.
If you don't have a bank account does that also mean you've not got any existing credit products?
To stand any chance of borrowing you would need to put together a business plan along with financial projections to demonstrate how much you need, what you would spend the money on and that the business could be profitable and be able to repay any funding you have.
You might want to contact your local business link to see what suggestions they could make and whether they can think of any grants or cheap funds that you might be eligible to acccess. As well as princes trust you could look at CDFI schemes (I presume these still exist)A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi thankyou..
I have no credit to my name.
I suppose thats a bad thing as technically i dont have a credit rating then??
I dont wish to set up a buisness straight away i want to get the tools i need and get employment first then use my knowledge and wages i could save to start up 4myself self employed.
I am going to struggle to get a loan aren't I...0 -
Can you not get the tools bit by bit from ebay?0

Is there anything employment-wise in your area that you could do until you've either earned enough to buy tools or you've found an employer? I worked in a supermarket for 4 years, and although the work was mundane, the experience was useful and you make a lot of friends.0

If you were looking for employment wouldn't all your tools/equipment be provided by the employer? what sort of things did you need to buy?
Have you been round all the local body repair firms and handed in a cv showing your past experience or visited and talked to them to see if they might have an opening coming up anytime soon? Could you perhaps even offer to work as work experience for free for a couple of week to show your skills etc?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Hi thanks,
I am but we pay our bills first which leaves absolutely nothing spare.
Sadly they cost a fortune as u do need good quality one's to earn as most companys in this field, work on a bonus scheme and as such base wage can be very low so quality reliable equipment is a must, without it working i wont earn.
But i am very very slowly collecting them but as of my initial post the longer im unemployed the worse and harder it gets..hence a thinking of a loan so i can get on an get working.:j0 -
