Can we report sellers selling copied dvd's

Ive recently been looking at a Dvd box set, Lion King Trilogy, and came accross this item number 180063132511, 3 films on 1 DVD, I asked the seller, "is this a copy", and she quite happily replied "yes - but of good quality"

I didn't think your'e allowed to sell "copies" on ebay.

Should this seller be reported? or is it the case, that too many are people are doing it that ebay wont be able to act upon all the reports?

I wouldn't buy anyway, as this is for a gift.

Just wanted other's opionions.

Thanks in advance

    Report them straight to FACT

they'll investigate even if you only fill in the ebay user ID part

Why bother though? That seller is one of 1000s, maybe even 10s of 1000s. Just type in Locoste polo shirt and you see 100 powersellers selling 100s of fakes of them everyday!!!

Do you really grudge someone a couple of quick for copied DVD?

Fair enough if they are a powerseller making a considerable amount of money out of it but its xmas ya know... could just be someone who bought a fake themselves on ebay and is trying to sell it on.

  • What are you people doing!!!!!!!!!

These people keep the companies more honest. Imagine if their were no copies available, we'd all be paying £20+ for a dvd. Microsoft would double/treble it's software prices

DVD Pirates are this generations Robin Hoods (with the added business sense to charge a small profit margin!)

  • I would report them if it didnt state in the listing, and they said it was new, or mentioned nothing about a copy. Some things i want as original dvds, eg prison break season1, just for all the extras. Found a seller on there claiming they were brand new, sealed, and from the UK. Had excellent feedback, although the odd few said they were excellent copies, and from malaysia. Other things i wouldnt mind copies, but i probably wouldnt get them off ebay. All in all, its up to you/your morals whether you want to report them or not.
