All my mobilephonerecycling transactions have been cancelled on Topcashback.
Response from TCB on their forum:
Unfortunately it has recently come to light that this merchant will not be paying the cashback for these transactions and the cashback has now been declined. It seems that this offer was abused and the merchant did not feel that these were valid leads. This is an unfortunate situation however, as we will not be receiving payment for these transactions we will be unable to pass this on to our members.
As this was a non purchase offer it is not possible for us to pursue this further0 -

Can you post a link to the thread please
TCB had it marked as 1 per day what TCB appeared to fail to spot was that the merchants T+C stipulated that payment for leads generated was based on how many sales were generated from the leads, to be more specific T+C stated that for every x of leads it expected x amount of sales.0 -

Took out Swinton Car Insurance via F.C last week- hasnt tracked, have peace of mind of Cashback guarantee which IMHO is in-itself worth a 5.00 annual fee.
hi bristolleedsfan whats the good of a Cashback guarantee when you (I) can't contact them? I have placed quite a few tickets and stayed on Live help for long periods and no response from either, all this for a transaction from a Cashback guarantee seller that didn't track but I gave Fatcheese all the details of the (genuine) sale. the best response I have so far is there is a problem with the ticket system but as you know this is from a long time ago.
I don't buy anything through them now, went downhill as soon as Maya left the site.0 -

I think its fair to say that non tracking which can be for a variety of reasons e.g bad tracking link or due to users PC etc so combined with an unstated untracked offer makes commenting very difficult.
( Ironically my Swinton Car insurance transaction is currently untracked so I have put a claim in)
What is apparent that despite 25000+ members many of whom were gained via MSE, there are very few apparent complaints about Fatcheese not paying out under its Cashback Guarantee, in fact whilst all of the large Cashback sites( By large i mean 10000+;) members) have at some stage had members with grievances as regards Cashback not being paid for a variety of reasons I have seen very few complaints on MSE about Fatcheese.
It is true there are some who do have genuine transactions that havent tracked and paid and there is at least 1 member who is very prominant on another Cashback site forum who appears to have an axe to grind with Fatcheese mainly it would appear that having launced Fatcheese Ireland on MSE stating that it was not for UK residents he then spat the dummy when Fatcheese refused to pay no spend offers that he had done on Fatcheese Irish site

" How did I guess"
If Cashback rate elsewhere are the same as Fatcheese then I would do the transaction via F.C for what I regard as peace of mind as I trust the owner (s) to pay out under its Cashback Guarantee ( see above) for a valid and proved transaction and regard a 5.00 yearly fee good value for such a guarantee, if rate was higher elsewhere then I would do the transaction elsewhere and would expect to be paid Cashback for a valid proved advertised/marketed spend/commitment transaction as like many on MSE I see the Cashback is not guaranteed clause in Cashback sites T+C as totally irrelevant to English law.
Some years ago I contacted Next directly, they soon found someone who was aware of Next relationship with Cashback Sites, Next were horrified at suggestion that it wasnt being seen to honour a marketing offer which was 10.00 cashback for a 4.00 catalogue, they said fact I only did the offer for Cashback profit reasons was irrelevant and the 10.00 Cashback as if by magic soon appeared in my Cashback Site account as paid. :cool:0 -
