    I haven't had the letter yet :(

Can I just ask if anyone that's had the letter is in the same position as me, were you originally sold the PPI policy by an intermediary rather than Cardif Pinnacle directly?

I'd be extremely interested to hear what FOS say now as the last time I spoke with them they were intending to use the matter of whether insurance companies had responsibility for sale as a test case with courts.
I too had heard this and when I mentioned it in another thread I got virtually laughed at. Glad to know it wasn't just me.

I managed to get through to FOS they said that they had been no new developments and the test case has not gone through. He said he really did not have any idea why Cardiff Pinnacle had written and requested authorisation but to call them and enquire. I have not had a chance yet but will try to call them tomorrow and update you

    Many thanks for your update.
  • I have spoken with the FOS today. They state that they have written to Cardif Pinnacle informing them of their decision to seek a legal test case around underwriters of PPI.
The adviser I spoke with advised me to complete the questionaire and sign the authority as this will then mean CP can start investigating the sale of the policy.

The FOS complaint will still progress no matter what CP's response is. Obviously if CP make an offer to settle and it is accepted then FOS want to know about it.

I intend to send CP the same documentation i sent to them 2 years ago and see if they change their decision around whether to uphold the complaint.

    Good luck everyone.

I had a loan with GE Money or so i thought. I put in a complaint to reclaim mis-sold ppi and then I find out that it's nothing to do with GE Money, I need to get intouch with sanader. I'm like, what the hell's that all about? All my paperwork is on GE Money letter head paper the lot.
