What do you tend to do when not 100% happy with items from private seller?

I'm talking rubbish, they've sold loads of items - just checked their feedback again. Was confused because they have no DSRs yet - last time they sold was a while ago. Drafting an email now.

Am talking to myself (sorry!) but also just seen they charged me £15 for postage and it cost £9 to send. Don't normally bother about postage prices but that seems a bit steep to me.

I would message the seller, I received a bundle of clothing from ebay a little while ago like you it was only one item I wanted really though a few of the other items in the bundle looked nice and I thought could pass on the remainder.
When the bundle arrived the items were all in good condition except one which in my opinion was completely unwearable, it was completey covered in bobbles literally everywhere and was misshapen, possibly from tumble drying but the hems at the bottom were not even in line any longer.
The bundle was for my children and were all quality brands and I didn't really want to return the bundle also because the item I really wanted was okay, but personally I dont think they should have even contemplated including this particular top and perhaps one other in the bundle. With two less tops in the bundle no doubt it would have influenced the price, which is obviously why they were included.
 I never contacted the buyer and wish I had now, as they wouldn't repeat the same mistake again.Competition wins - 09/03 - £500 ELC Vouchers 11/04 - Lush Goodies 21/04 - Gillette Fusion Gift Pack 22/05 - Mirrors DVD 29/05 - Return Flights to London & £500 29/05 - £50 Homebase Gift Vouchers 20/09 - Remote Control Helicopter 28/09 - £225 Bingo Win 05/10 £25 Photobox Vouchers 16/09 £90 Cash 30/11 £29 Cash 03/01 £20 03/04 Fifa Football :T0

Contact the buyer and say that you were surprised and a little disappointed to find damage on an item that had been described as in excellent condition.
I would ask for a partial refund so that the final price reflects the less than perfect item condition - say 15% - and see what happens. Then you will see the seller's true colours.:hello:0

I did contact seller who tried to tell me postage costs were reasonable and that items left them in perfect condition. A lot is wear and tear but then I don't think you can describe it as excellent..also confirmed they weren't happy with the price they sold for, as I thought. Anyway, seller has now offered me a partial refund which seems fair.
