I have that package & like you, if I change my package I loose the free O2 calls, I'm on simplicity 15, sim only.
I have an iphone which I can't use as a smart phone out & about, unless I change my package.
    They've offered me
500 MB wi-fi, 300 mins calls, unlimited texts, unlimited calls to other O2 mobiles, £27.00 pm. £150.00 cash back off my bills, makes it £20.75.

There's the family bolt-on where one person pays £7.50 a month and 4 people on O2 can call each other as much as they want for free, but other than that the O2 to O2 calls is only available to retentions (although managers have authorisation to use it) or on older tariffs. The cheapest way would be to pay the extra fiver unless you could find a way to split the £7.50 between the 4 people.

Im on 500 min free o2 to o2 calls free landline calls and unlimited sms. The free wifi doesnt work for me because I am suppose to be using a blackberry and I am using a regular smartphone. And I will lose everything if i change to another tariff.

This happened to me when I bought my iPhone. I was on simplicity and they added the data bolt on and I lost my free O2 to O2 calls. I phoned customer services and complained very politely and told them this is what I was staying with O2 for and they reinstated them. Phone them and complain, they can only say no.....

There is no such thing as "contract pay as you go simplicity". They do a fifteen pound contract Simplicity and they do a fifteen pound Simplicity for pay and go.

What you can do about your situation depends on which tariff you are on. So for accurate advice you need to answer the questions in my previous post. If you aren't sure then look at your My O2 account.
