Motorola V3 Problem

Hi MSErs,
Can please help me with a problem that i have on my Motorola v3. It was locked on orange and i bought some unlocking software to unlock it to all networks. It didnt work, so asked the sellse who asked me to try again. this time something on the software that he sent went wrong and the fone has crashed.
From what i can work out, the software deletes the firmware on the fone and installs a new one which is unlocked to all networks. However with my phone the software deleted the firmware and then crashed after that.
When i switch on the fone all i see is:
Boot Loader
07.D0
SW Version:
R374_G_0E.42.1
0R
MEM_MAP Blank
Service Req'd
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable
Has anyone had this kind of problem before?
Can anyone please help me with what i could do...can i install some software back on it for it to work again?

this is the risk you take using cracked s/w
did you do a back up?
or you can try reflashing with a different flash file
or let someone with pro flashing equipment have a look at it0 -
Yes i know now
I have not made a flash backup no...i didnt know whow to make one.
How would i go about reflashing with a different flash file?...where would i get the file from?
how do i find someone with pro-flashing equipment?0 -
Firstly make sure you are not using a USB hub. (ie, a port on your monitor or even the front of your PC). This can affect reflashing mobiles/PDAs.
You need the software to load onto your phone (it's been wiped.) It's possible to find the files by some very skilled and careful Googling BUT this is not legal in the UK. If you were in another country, however, I can advise you would need whichever software your network provider uses, this will mean the phone works with that network provider's SIM and the opening/closing screens and menus will all be customised.
It's a technical job and if you don't feel comfortable doing it ring Motorola and send it off to them (or take it to wherever you bought the phone from). Better to get a professional to look at it - a lot of these mobile phone unlockers have a laptop, some illegal software and a whim and a prayer and can do more harm than good.
Edit: I'm not a phone unlocker - I used to work on the technical helpdesk for o2 and we'd do legal reflashes/rom upgrades of o2 branded PDA's with customers. Before I get blasted, lol!0 -
its not illegal to reflash your phone? its your property and your not changing the imei.
you may lose warrenty but youve already flashed it anyway
most people reflash to remove the network branding so dont worry about the customisations
see here for instructions and flashes

some unlocking s/w here but it depends on the firmware version of your phone
do you know what the original was?

Thanks KittKate and Drahciar.
I was connecting the phone to the computer via ausb hub. I connected it to the computer directly and the software is back on the phone and it is working however is still locked.
Drahcir...after looking at the links that you have posted...the files are the same files that i bought over ebay. I have tried using them again but they still do not unlock the phone. The phone still asks for a subsidy code when i insert a non-orange sim card inside it. Do I have to buy a subsidy code? and if so where can i get it from and how much would it be?0 -
you would have to pay £20 to get it from orange
your local market stall should be able to do it for £10 or less
if its a newish one it may need testpoint0
