Nothing overly technical about removing a hard drive! Just need a screwdriver.

If you haven't bought the new one yet, the slowness problem is fixable, factory restore (takes 10 minutes) it after backing up your data, or post a hijackthis log
Your choice of AV software may be part of the problem!!

Once you get your new PC I'd switch to Chrome for your browser - set up a google account and it syncs your bookmarks to your account and then you don't have to worry about losing them.0

Firefox 4 has "Firefox Sync" built-in, which I presume does exactly the same as Chrome... and there are so many more add-ons for Firefox!0
