Take That on Saturday - parking?

Going to the City of Manchester Stadium on Saturday to see Take That...does anyone know where I can park for a reasonable price?

Have checked out private parking but all the spaces have gone due to the fact I've been very unorganised and not thought about parking until now! I've had a search on Google, but the ones that are appearing are in the city centre and expensive. I've used 'unofficial' event car parks for about £5 - £6, so something similar would be great. I obviously don't mind walking back to my car, but not too far!

Anyone got any recommendations?

Thank you!

    If it makes me seem any cooler, I saw Roger Waters a couple of weeks ago. It was so epic I'm not even excited about seeing Take That :rotfl:

    So did I (Saturday one), what a fantastic show. :)

    To answer your question, the Vermilion Cinnabar on Hulme Hall Lane is £5 on matchdays and far easier to get out of than the stadium car parks.

    This is only a good car park though if you are heading to North/North East Manchester and pretty useless if you need to go back towards CoMS (due to nightmare congestion)!

    Coming home on the train today, there appeared to be some parking in use on Pottery Lane (just opposite Ashburys train station). Not sure if that's official parking or unofficial.

    Yeah there will be unofficial carparks dotted around, not sure about out that way as I've only ever done it for the MEN. Otherwise park somewhere and get a bus. I'm not too familiar with round there but you could probably park on a road somewhere if you didn't mind a walk.

    Be very careful with on street parking as the residential areas are covered with parking restrictions and you will be towed, ticketed etc by the council. They are well practiced in this and will be operating over the next few days.

    Have you seen the advice from MCFC?

    Also MCFC have approved car parks other than the stadium ones and I've found this on the website (it includes the one I previously mentioned);

    Hi Rev,

    Just passing information onto this site after reading enquires.

    We are an official car parking site for MCFC football and only ever charge a £5 fee. We are a charity organisation and all funds go to our community centre.

    Hope that clears up any concerns you may have regarding 'unofficial car parking sites' in East Manchester.

    Jules.
