Travel Insurance, pre-existing conditions. HELP!

If it is totally unrelated, then it would be covered. It is just the medical condition and anything that could be related, that would not be covered. I suppose in your sons case, if he had a breathing problem linked to his heart condition, causing him to fall over and break his arm, that could be seen as related. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0

If you provide 100% accurate information for a pre existing medical condition, you are covered for that condition, anything that is related and anything else that happens, subject to normal policy terms.
My comments are not to do with Columbus Direct. Many people post comments that they were very happy with their Travel Insurers quoting, but have not experienced the claims service. I have no experience of using them and have no knowledge that they are better or worse than any other company. All I am pointing out is that you need to be 100% accurate with information given about medical conditions and treatment received. If the information is not accurate you risk having problems.
Some Insurers are easier to deal with than others. The Travel Insurance offered by the Post Office which is underwritten by Ageas, is recommended by some. A contributor to this forum who is an account manager for a large Florida based hospital, found them one of the better companies to deal with. They found AXA were one of the most difficult. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums.
