I just renewed my home insurance with them. Did the comparison sites using the figures quoted in my renewal notice and then tried the Co-Op's own site. They have an offer of a discount for taking contents and buildings together and buying online.
They undercut the others by at least £70. Don't know how leaving the house vacant for a time would affect the premium but they would be worth trying.
