Hi guys
Just moved into a house and will not have Internet for 8-9 weeks so I tried to put my iPhone 4 tesco microsim in iPad 2 to see if it would work but no luck.
Please can someone give me a quick steer on the best iPad sim 30 day rolling contract deal?
I would trawl through myself but as I have limited Internet access I was hoping someone could help me out.
Thanks in advance

Why doesn't your iPhone sim work in your iPad? It should do, mine does, is your iPad locked to a specific network?
Edit: it doesn't work, see below.0 -
No I don't think any iPads are locked. I just popped it in and it says no sim inserted. Did you have to do anything else to get it working?

Thought I had already posted a second reply, it seems to have disappeared?
Anyway, turns out it doesn't work - when I put the iPhone 4 sim into the iPad (first gen), it shows signal bars, the network (Orange), and 3G, so I assumed it was working. But when I try to go to a website it says something like 'no cellular data plan', and doesn't work.0 -
This seems hard to beat:-

You have set the APN on the iPad haven't you...
Just in case, it seems to be
APN: prepay.tesco-mobile.com
Username: tescowap
Password: password
Similarly, if you get the T-Mobile SIM, from the T-Mobile website:-
"Question
I have an unlocked iPhone and I need internet settings, what are they?
Answer
You will need to change the APN settings, go to:
Main Menu > Settings > General > Network > Edge then edit by tapping on each in turn and over-writing:- APN: general.t-mobile.uk
- Username: user
- Password: pass
I guess the iPad would be similar.
Hope this helps, the T-Mobile settings are the same as I have for PAYG in my Android phone.0
