Car Hire through First Choice, can I cancel??

I'm going to Lanzarote on 19th June for 2 weeks. We have been before so no strangers to the island. We're having a car for the time we're over there and this time decided to use First Choice (who we've also got the holiday through) as they were coming out most competitive and now I know why. Having done my research on the company the car is provided through - Orlando Canaries, they appear to be some cowboy company with no good word to be said about them on the internet.. the broker that first choice use... Holiday Autos are not fairing much better. We'd like to cancel our car hire, can someone advise me on this, we have paid already (First Choice) but are we within our rights to cancel after reading such reviews, surely we can cancel, even if we have to pay an admin fee? We'd rather pay that than risk becoming another victim of this company! Although we'd rather not pay the fee of course.

Any feedback greatly received, I should have done mine first before booking the car!
