Pippi, that looks a *lot* less squeaky than its been, thats great!
Glad to hear the food event was such a success.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ouch ouch ouch .... sorry to hear you've got an infection now, Keiss. I must say, knowing that I've got a tiny little op to deal with soon, I'm just starting to stock up on easy feed meals - I've got lots of those single pot soy desserts, and as I'm going to a neighbouring town this Saturday, I'll stock up then on microwave rice - in spite of having lots of ordinary dried rice ready to cook, because that would involve using the shoulder that'll be sore.
Hope you slept well - and Pippi, you too!
Sounds like you had a good day yesterday Pippi, if rather busy. :j Good to see you have a new garden to work in, and nice you have a blackie to talk to. We have a couple of robin pairs as well as a blackbird family in our long garden, so there is always someone to talk to on the way to the greeenhouse. Dad was crowing over the lovely weather you've had the past couple of days, while we had rain and fog! At least it in't raining today, though not sure how well the washing is going to dry!
Had an odd night sleep-wise. Woke up @ 3:30 all tender and unable to stay in bed. I had a wander downstairs, tried dozing in my chair, then went into the conservatory. Lovely and cool in there (10 degrees!!) and went onto the 'puter, caught up on all the threads on MSE I visit, which took my mind off the aches and pains. Next thing I knew, it was 6:45!! So toddled off to bed and only woke up @ 9:30!!!
Now trying to catch up on various things...like tablets and breakfast! Have DS2 home all day, so need to make the most of him and get him to move things about for me.
Really need to get things prepared for my first Xmas fair on Sunday. Want to bag up some choccy raisins and label them as "Reindeer Nibbles" - some mum's object to having them called "Reindeer Poo"!!! Also do "Bah Humbug"! bags as well as some cat & dog biccies bagged and labelled: "Yappy Christmas" and "Have a Purrfect Christmas"!!! At least I should have loads with relatively minimal effort!!
Only have one fair this weekend, the other two are over 2 weeks away, so again have more time to make a few more things.
Have a great day everyone...I will try not to overdo things, promise!! xxx

KC yup a bit less squeaky - shoulders (financially) here have gone down a bit if that makes any sense.
My biggest notice of this sense of releif of the relaxing of the financial squeakiness was being at the supermarket - and choosing not only my normal reduced veg/fruit box - which I now love (thank you red) but I actually also picked a whole lot of fruit I'd not bought in ages (I love fruit but we've been on 'mouse rations' for anything extra in food) and we've been making do so much I'd forgotten what it was like to buy a few things I really like (Kiwi, grapes, blueberries, pears) which weren't reduced and yoghurt and corn flat cake things (which I love) and a full price loaf of bread.
I hadn't really realised how uptight I was about it all, I'm not going to go crazy - but its nice to think and look too. Although I'm not going to stop my main veggie/fruit purchases being a reduced 'veg/fruit' box as I love this and I'm keeping to the reduced shopping as its changed our lives but I'm glad I can 'relax' a bit.
The mileage allowance is a god send as I'm now really combining journeys into the main town with work - like yesterday. This will make a huge difference.anyway today I'm having a pottery day offish type of a day.
Hurray!
Ok the shopping came to £50 (which for me, is very OMG, I never spend more than 10-20 in one go) but I came home quite happy I'd picked things I liked for a change.
ETA oh Keiss, I hope you get a better night sleep later - crafting work looked very healthy up there!!!! Well done you but don't do too much.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Ah Pippi that's really lovely to hear about being able to buy nice things in the supermarket! :TDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Glad to hear things are getting better Pippi, its not nice counting pennies in supermarket. I break out in a cold sweat if my shopping is more than £40! Lol.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. When my nieces came home from their first term at Uni one of their complaints about budgeting was never being able to buy anything nice like Mum did. I suggested that if they were doing a weekly shop maybe one treat should be allowed, like a wee bit of pate or brie and a roll or some nice fruit. They did this and it made them feel much less deprived so maybe it is something you could try Pippi.
Keiss - Sorry you couldn't sleep but I always think it is better to get up and do something than toss and turn. You sound brighter again today too. Hope the antiB's and painkillers are keeping everything at bay.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Loving the news, Pippi - Keiss too - I'm glad there isn't too much work for that fair.
Pippi, it sounds so good to un-squeak ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Lunchtime! Having the last of the birthday stilton on toast along with the last of the grapes. Didn't stretch to two slices, so having HM blackcurrant jam on the other slice...yummmmm
Managed to get DS2 to move various bits about between the sitting room and the shed...place is looking a tip atmNow need to find things a home in the base unit he brought up from the shed...might have to wait until this evening when DH gets home.
Going to measure out and bag up some sweets this afternoon... not very strenuous, and a few might get nibbled on the way
You're right, I am feeling brighter today, though still quite sore. The anti-bs must be kicking in already, thank goodness!!!
Might have a sit down for a bit and knit another icicle...got more silver ones to make. Then it's sweetie time!! :j
You're right Maty, having a little treat every so often makes life much more bearable

I had a frugal lunch, leftover pasta with HM pasta sauce and mushrooms. Suffering today (Kidney stones), they are making me feel quite sick and the pain at the moment is bareable though catches me unawares at times.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
