Hey up you lovely lot
Well the day was great - and a lovely success - we even did a key handing over picture! What fun. I've one event and another half a day training and then its me on my own.
Triciaxx - oh the word 'snap' reminds me of catherine cookson books!
Cheery and LT - thank you a fine start to the wombling yesterday we raised a bit of money - which is OK, but not great and doesn't come near to covering the costs - one mission is to get the place more sustainable and try and get more folk there somehow. For example - there is an old fashioned ceiling airer there - been there for 3 months - no ones bought it - I can hardly beleive that! Theres a suggested £10 donation on it - OK, maybe a bit expensive but they are £50 new and last forever - seriously thinking about pushing getting registered for ebay again - it was a plan before but we didn't get it started. Alot of the stuff wouldn't suit 'ebaying' but some of it would.
Keiss I think you're going to have such fun with that machine! And, I'm glad you're feeling a tiny bit better - only one more day til your birthday - how exciting!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

Keiss - You sound brighter than you were, maybe the new sewing machine has given you a lift :T But don't forget to pace yourself
We regularly had a piece in our house, the joys of scottish parents! Other odd words that crept in to the vocabulary and need explaining to southern friends are stramash and shuggle, sure there are more :rotfl::rotfl::j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

Glad you enjoyed your first wombling day. My mum used to have one of those ceiling airer things. It was really good at getting stuff dry, but as Dad's idea of cooking was 'xyz and chips' all our clothes stank of chip fat!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I have a pulley as we call a ceiling airer. I replaced the ropes when we moved in and two of the lathes are replacements but I think it is as old as the house - over 100 years. Great thing and I wouldn't be without it.
Have a happy Sunday, all.But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Morning all, your are all right, definitely improving every day.
Though I do need to pace myself, not the best at taking things slowly!!! Looking forward to having a play with my new machine, possibly even this evening, but definitely tomorrow...can't wait!!
Glad the wombling day went well Pippi ...I would have the airer if we were closer. I want to have at least one! If we had got our lean-to/back-porch/utility-room built this year I'd have had one in there!! Considering getting one for the conservatory....doesn't really fit in with the chic-look of the rest of the room though!!
Going to have a go at washing my hair today, not allowed to have a bath/shower for a week after the op., so a few Need to wash my hair as off out for a birthday lunch with the family today. Can't see myself kneeling beside the bath, so will have to do it standing up! DH has said he'll help me before he heads up to collect DS1 & GF...going to be interesting methinks!
Right, need to get going, things to do...but I will be resting often, promise!!
Have a lovely day everyone xxx

Certainly Northern, My Dad would interchange 'piece' and 'snap'. He was from Lancashire.
Lancashire is *so* different from Liverpool, isn't it! I never heard it at home at all ...I have a pulley as we call a ceiling airer. I replaced the ropes when we moved in and two of the lathes are replacements but I think it is as old as the house - over 100 years. Great thing and I wouldn't be without it.
We called it a pulley too! We had it in the living room for years, used it all the time.
Hey up, Pippi, hope your day's going well.
