Finally, here is my S.O.A...

Hello...could you have a look and tell me whether this is realistic...I'm hoping to apply for a D.R.O. eventually...at the moment my credit file isn't showing all my payments, so it appears that I owe more than £15,000.
thanks c.x

  • you have included internet twice

Also, if you're spending £19 per month on prescriptions you should investigate whether a pre-paid certificate is cheaper
  • ...You're right...I'll change that....get very confused at times...medical includes the Health Insurance which is a bit of a moot point, this gives us a percentage off opticians and chiropdy..but some think we shouldn't have this..so I may get rid of it...no more contact lenses for me it seems...

Do i take it that no one works in your home and all the income is from benefits. Or am I misreading something somewhere.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • ...thanks for the comments...yes I am at home with severe depression and related conditions ...my partner has a weak heart, and has had strokes ...at the moment he is unable to walk (due to one of his tablets...side effects)...I dont really understand which - he just cant walk.
Yes, we stick with the electricity as they give us one month's worth back in November...which covers us for Christmas...but I will look around, trouble is with my partner's condition we need it hot in here.
I'll look into the groceries...thing is without a vehicle we have to go to Waitrose...
the Washing costs are due to not having a working washing machine and the fact that I'm urinary incontinent(...didn't want to mention this, but thought it might come up)...have trouble keeping the smell under control - am always having to wash furniture covers etc.

I'll reduce the newspapers etc...although we do need something to keep us going.
Yeah the therapies are costly...I cant get anything on the N.H.S...but have been suicidal for a while now...recently have been in hospital but there's no long term help...I may cut one therapy later this month..although both of them help me..

Could you shop online at Asda, Tesco or Sainsburys cheaper than Waitrose?

    Could you alternate your therapies?

Most newspapers have online versions to get your news fix. Clothing seems very high - can you try to cut down or look at cheaper options - charity shops or ebay have great bargains?

Have a look at the Old Style board for ideas on cutting the large grocery bill too
  • As someone mentioned above, you could get shopping delivered from one of the supermarkets. The savings you make would far outweigh the delivery costs as long as you plan ahead & stock up so you dont need too many deliveries per month. Waitrose can then just be used for bread, milk etc.
