temple bar. has anyone actually been?0
-
Of course not. It's mythical. Leprechauns don't exist either.0

Yes - usually just on my way through to somewhere else, you ever though of doing something other than putting your snout into a pint pot Kevin?
Collins barracks (National Museums of Ireland - decorative arts and history) are in easy walking distance and has some amazing exhibits, Dublinia is good especialy if you get hold of a voucher, Natural history at Merrion St, plenty of pubs all over and you might get to meet a Dub who is not serving behind the bar amongst the Aussies and East Europeans. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. But yes I have thought of other things, but the weekend is short and the music is good, so i just stay there in the pubs in temple bar.0 -
Half an hours walk to build up an appetite, An hour in the museum it's free, a coffee and a sarnie in the museum cafe, then ask the staff if they can recomend a good local pub, live a bit Kevin.
Collins barracks - as a boy my late FIL and his Brothers and Sisters were taken there by their mum to see the Free State Army under the command of General MacEoian march in to replace the British, they got a day off school to see it. MacEoian's uniform is in a case as you walk in, he was a small man, apparently respected and loved by his men.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
