Just come back from Ireland today, still too *ecking expensive - they just haven't got it - but I did find things a lot cheaper outside of Dublin and Cork. Beamish 'ON OFFER' in my Cork hotel for 3.90 euro but only 3.30 in a similar place in Waterford.
The sunday papers were full of their view that it's not Ireland's fault they're in the sh*t
it's the fault of everyone elso who won't lend them any more money, maybe they need some lessons from the MSE forums.

The Irish have always been good at victimology.
And now they're wallowing in it with a large dose of inferiority complex thrown in.
People actually complain that the banks shouldn't have lent them money they never had any hope of paying back to buy a house they couldn't afford on five times their salary all in the hope of making a fast buck.
The plain fact is that since they achieved independence from Britain every subsequent Irish government has managed to make a ball-ups of running the country through a combination of ineptitude and corruption.
You want stupid ? They have a motorway network where drivers desperate for a pee can only exit and urinate in a hedge because they didn't build a single service station in the entire country.
They don't deserve an ounce of sympathy or any more of our money.

Now now, lets be fair. There's a "service station" in Portlaoise. It doesn't sell fuel however??? !!!!!!!!

But there aren't any garages on motorways.
So if you want a pee you've got to leave the motorway, find a garage, have a pee as well as buying something not to incur the wrath of the garage owner and then find the next junction to get on the motorway.
If they can't even work that one out it's hardly surprising that governments have been run by imbeciles and voted in by a thick population.

That's true. And if you got off to find the loos :o and come back on again, you sometimes have to pay tolls again. That did happen.
