    Ireland is garbage.

It is the most overpriced, overrated place on the planet and Dublin is the grimmest, dullest city in Europe after Cardiff.

I disagree, but than when I go over to Ireland I don't tend to stay in Dublin. I also don't feel it is overpriced as some people say, but that's just me and my personal opinion.

It's a shame that this thread couldn't be used as sensible thread instead of constant comments about the price of guinness.

I tend to side with you, apart from my belief this is a thread about daftess from the beginning.
Tourist trap areas in Dublin are overpriced, outlying areas, other towns a bit cheaper. I spend more time in Tralee and don't find it pricey really.

It's just moneymans comments really I was aiming at :) Last time I was over there, we stayed in County Roscommon, so away from the tourist traps. From there we visited Sligo, etc. It was great :)

I want to get to Sligo some time they have a great rugby tradition there, and as I have been to the other great Rugby towns and cities, Dublin,Belfast, Galway and Limerick; I have to go there, maybe for the St Stephen's day (boxing day for us UK types) match one year.

I admit to being silly deliberately

I've never been to Belfast yet, but have been to the other places you mention. Sligo is lovely :) We went to Rosses Point after visiting Sligo town and the views are specticular. Also, there is a waterfall called Glencar not that far from Sligo which is pretty amazing :) I also went to Galway this year. I went to Dublin briefly not seen much of it as only had a short time before taking ferry home.

Limerick we went to last year and other places.

Whom I book my holidays with sent me a brochure today, strangely after Christmas that's the first bit of post I get.

I am thinking about going to Ireland again in October 2012...County Offaly or County Laious (I can't spell it!!) and exploring that area as yet to really explore that area.
