virgin media and internet traffic

Hi, We have a Virgin Media Broadband package 10Mb and have been with VM and its preious incarnations for years. Recently bought 2 new TV's which both have internet access for BBCi player and of course all home computers (2 off) have internet access and so does a smart phone. We have, obviously, exceeded their 'fair usage policy' download traffic limit regularly and so they limit our internet speed by 75%! So much for the 'unlimited' usage of internet! What does Martin or any others suggest as more and more TV's will now have internet access and this will happen to more and more households. Unless, one pays an arm and a leg for Virgin's 50Mb nroadband or Sky's 20Mb so called unlimited broadband, we are stuck! What good is the new TV!! Please any suggestions?
